Back in 2011, Brisbane-based artist Emma Louise made a name for herself with the release of her soulful anthem – and Eat This Music favourite – ‘Jungle‘, since then, Emma has gone on to release numerous EPs, albums, and tour the globe.
Today, Emma Louise moves into a new direction, a direction that sees her change up what made her one of the best acts out of Australia.
In the timespan of four minutes and 30 seconds, Emma Louise has managed to sum up what her new album ‘Lilac Everything; A Project By Emma Louise’ is all about with a song that distorts her voice, tells a strong story and is instrumentally pleasing.
‘Lilac Everything; A Project By Emma Louise’ is a project that sees Emma Louise challenge herself and it “was honestly the most relieving decision I’ve ever made, musically,” explains Emma.
“It just felt so right. I didn’t even have to think about it. It made the album swell. It expanded. I think, creatively, I was able to do whatever I wanted.”
Emma Louise’s ‘Lilac Everything; A Project By Emma Louise’ is due out for release September 14 and is now available for pre-order.
