FRIDAY 16-24th MARCH
NICHOLSON BUILDINGS @CAGE ME A PEACOCK 7TH FLOOR, RM 707
OPENING NIGHT 16TH MARCH 6-9PM
The exhibition explores the concept of Cucina Povera which literally translated as Poor Kitchen, a style of Italian cooking which uses simple and cheap ingredients to turn poverty into fine art. Embodying the room in a fabulous bounty of bold colours with an installation of photographic and fabric prints Carla Ori invites you to enter Biscotti world.
Opening night is set to be a treat as you take an elevator up to the 7th floor of the iconic Nicholas Building in the heart of Melbourne city to reach the Cage Me a Peacock gallery. And it wouldn’t be a Biscotti opening without an element of performance so brace yourself for a spaghetti eating performance along with the regular drinks and mingling. Keep an eye out for some special events happening across the duration of the show.
