‘Oceans’ is the new single from Sydney electronic pop duo Vallis Alps. The single is essentially about the sacrifice women make daily in fighting equality and how Parissa and David “wanted to write a song about carrying that weight and thriving in spite of it.”

“Oceans was born from a conversation we had about Tahirih, a 19th century woman who fought and died for the emancipation of women in Iran. As Oceans formed, it became both a celebration and an expression of admiration for those figures in our lives and in history that are examples of this.”

Offering more of that great mix of pop sound, electronic vibes and Parissa’s great vocal work, Vallis Alps have manage to put together soothing song that is also a good follow up to their Fables EP. Have a listen below.
