Melbourne duo SAATSUMA are gearing up for the release of their debut album ‘Overflow’, due out for release 1 September.
However, prior to the release of the album, Memphis Kelly and Cesar Rodrigues have given fans a taste of the album with their new single ‘Crescent’. Offering more of that deep, melodic electronic vibes they have produced and shared with their previous releases ‘Isolate‘ and ‘Stay‘, the duo continue to use their trademark ranging vocals, infectious vibes, warped synths and throbbing bass with entrancing melancholy essence that make them an enjoyable act to listen to.
This new single presents the message that “reflects on the impact of the moon on human behaviour,” with Memphis additionally noting how the single is about “our deep connection to the land that we’re often so unaware of…”
“We’re often so resistant to work on and better ourselves, that we ultimately miss out on exploring this deeper sense of belonging, wholeness and true self-awareness.”
With this new single, comes the announcement of their debut album ‘Overflow’, which is due out for release 1 September. To celebrate the release of the album, SAATSUMA is heading out on the road on Saturday 23 September in Melbourne.
