Self Talk explore relationships that don’t really get past the beginning in their new single ‘Bedside Dictionary’; announce new EP

Self Talk (Stacey, Frank, Michael, Amanda and Brendan) are a five-piece indie rock/pop band from Melbourne and today they have released the first taste of what’s to come off their forthcoming new EP ‘Almost Everything’. ‘Bedside Dictionary’ is the first taste of the EP and it is essentially about dealing with relationships.

According to the band, Bedside Dictionary is essentially a song full of nostalgia, dealing with “relationships that don’t really get past the beginning, not because they don’t work or the people involved don’t like each other, but it just doesn’t go any further.”

“Its about the various things that come with that, how it might feel, the frustration or disconnection, or even just acceptance really.”

To coincide with the release of the new single, Self Talk have announced the forthcoming release of their new EP ‘Almost Everything’, which is due out for release Friday 11 August via Inertia Access. Pre-orders for the EP are now available through iTunes, Google Play, Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp.

Having previously released ‘Old Habits’ back in April, this second taste is a good addition to an already strong stable of tracks. Have a listen below.
