Nylo is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, percussionist, keyboards, backing vocalist – and so much more – from out of Chicago and today she has released the latest entry into her already strong stable of tracks with ‘Time Changes Everything’, which is essentially a three minute and 47 second song that explores the battles of mental health.
Having previously released ‘Sirens‘ nearly eight months ago and recently being featured amongst the likes of ZHU, Connor Youngbloog, Emmit Fenn, Roland Ting, Mac Millar, SOHN and G-Eazy, Nylo has gone out on her own again to present her own musical tastes to the world through the narrative of her new single – which essentially services as a platform for Nylo to test her prowess as an artist and music producer.
Speaking on the new single, Nylo noted how the idea for ‘Time Changes Everything’ coming to the realisation that mental health has played a big part in her own life and that of the people she loves; after losing two “classmates in one year to suicide,” and her “aunt to a murder/suicide, among other similar tragedies.”
“The song, ‘Time Changes Everything’ narrates a conversation from the perspective of the mind as it battles with the delicate duality of itself and reason. In those moments, I wish everyone a little bit of self-love, and a lot of time, as I truly believe both are massively underestimated miraculous resources for good.”
2017 looks to be a big year for the Chicago-based artist with more music to come throughout the remainder of the year and putting on more gigs.
