Flynn Effect are a new metal band coming out of Brisbane and today the four-piece have released the first single off their forthcoming sophomore record ‘Obsidian’.
‘Fade’ is essentially a song – according to frontwoman/vocalist Tomina – that explores “going forward and persevering against all odds, no matter the setbacks and no matter the cost,” and how much hope their is for the future.
Tomina also noted how the band worked on the “record for a couple of years” and put so much work into it, that the band “faced some extremely difficult situations” in their personal lives that influenced their music making.
“We can’t wait to share this album with the world – its a record that we love and are extremely proud of, and I think the most honest piece of work we’ve created so far. It shows Flynn Effect in a whole new light.”
‘Fade’ is the first taste of what’s to come from Flynn Effect’s new album Obsidian, which is scheduled for release August 4.
