Soccer Mommy is the alter-ego of Nashville, Tennessee based student Sophie Allison and today Soccer Mommy has released the first taste of what’s to come off her forthcoming ‘Collection’ album, due out for release on August 4 via the folks over at Fat Possum Records and Inertia Music.
Having already built quiet a reputation for herself with the previous release of ‘For Your Hearts‘, the Nashville native has returned with some of the finest i die-rock music around.
In Soccer Mommy’s own words, Out Worn is essentially a song about the anthemic and overall searing takedown of the desire for male validation, while “feeling a need for validation and feeling belittled by that need.”
“I was trying to describe the feeling of having a relationship with someone who cares for you, but who doesn’t respect you for everything you are.”
Soccer Mommy’s ‘Collection’ is now available for pre-order via iTunes.
