Having previously released ‘On and On‘ earlier in the year, JIM is back with a follow up of what fans have come to like about the Norwegian pop artist, with the new single ‘Under Attack’.
JIM noted on the track as being about Working in collaboration with Daniele Autore and Mugisho Nhonzi while in Rome, JIM explains it “all started with the chorus,” and how JIM “always” tries “to write anthemic, larger-than-life choruses.”
On the actual story of the song, JIM noted how it wasn’t about creating a specific story – JIM goes into more detail below:
“I wasn’t looking to tell a specific story but I wanted the song to be dark and epic. I keep seeing pictures of outer space in my mind, whenever I’m listening to the song, or playing it with my band. Musically, I think it’s both sentimental and uplifting, combining all the elements I think is needed in a big pop tune… 80s synths, punk rock guitars and gang vocals.”
‘Under Attack’ is a nice additional to an impeccable first single that showed what the Norwegian artist has to offer the world with the use of his electronic pop beats, synthetic structure and vocal range. Have a listen below.
