Today is a big day for the fans of Sydney’s Mere Women as they have released details of their forthcoming third LP and a big five-show tour throughout Australia in June and July.
With the Big Skies dropping on June 16 via Poison City Records, the record will feature the previous release of the title track ‘Big Skies’, which came out in April, the record will feature 11 additional songs to round out a 12-track LP.
Featuring tracks like the story-layered ‘Eternally’ to the key-driven ‘Curse’, Big Skies is an album that explore themes of women’s experiences over generations and the simultaneous isolation and confinement felt by many women living in regional communities.
To celebrate the release of the Big Skies LP, Mere Women will be heading out on the road from Thursday, June 22 to Saturday July 8 in Canberra, Sydney, Thurroul, Melbourne and Brisbane at Transit Bar, Red Rattler, Urge Records, John Curtin and Bloodhound Bar in their respective cities.
Mere Women’s Big Skies will be available to pre-order from Poison City from May 12, 2017 and tickets to the Big Skies Album Tour are on sale via individual venues.
