Hailing from Brisbane, Waax are one of the most underrated bands in the country, however, nothing will stop them and their momentum as they have dropped a new single, details of their forthcoming EP and news of a big headline tour throughout June and July.

Having previously released ‘Same Same‘, ‘This Everything‘ and ‘Nothing Is Always’, the Brisbane based rockers return with the fourth taste of their forthcoming EP with the new single, ‘Wild & Weak’, which is also the first track on the EP chronologically.

Speaking on the release of the second EP, Waax’s frontwoman Marie noted how the “first EP was a lot more external – so, it felt like the next evolutive step to explore my inner workings and coincidentally a timely post-traumatic deep-hole started forming within me.”

“These songs are a step by step documentation of what I went through – the steps of finding peace with my past.”

To celebrate the release of their forthcoming EP, Waax will be heading out on the road from Friday, 30 June to Saturday, 19 August in Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Bondi, Erina, Sydney, Wollongong, Perth and Gold Coast at Rocket Bar, The Gasometer, Crowbar, Beach Road, Proud Mary’s, Brighton Up Bar, Rad, Jack Rabbit Slims and Miami Tavern in their respective cities.

Waax’s ‘Wild & Weak’ EP is due out June 2. Have a listen to the new single below.
