Beloved WA six-piece Simone & Girlfunkle explore themes of heartache, conflict and loss in their new single ‘Fight On’

Western Australian six-piece Simone & Girlfunkle (Bridget, Heather, Sarah, Dan and Vaughan) have released ‘Fight On’, a single full of melodies, pop essentials, and an offering of indie-pop vibes and percussion through the use of their collaborative effort.

Being a six-piece band might seem a bit difficult, however, Simone & Girlfunkle have it covered as this new three minute and 42 second offering, which gives the group enough time to showcase what they have to offer. With three women providing the melodies, and the other members providing the percussion, this is an overall satisfying entry.

Working in collaboration with the engineering and producing parter Dave Parkin (previously working with Tired Lion and Bob Evans) and William Bowden (previously working with Emma Louise and Goyte) on the mastering of the single, this new offering gives us the story of heartache, conflict and loss.

To celebrate the release of the new single, Simone & Girlfunkle will be heading out on the road to perform at the Babushka Bar in Leederville, Western Australia on May 27 with Felicity Groom and Ray Beno as supports.
