In a bit of sad news for those that were anticipating I Prevail’s forthcoming sold out Brisbane show on 3 April – the show has been cancelled due to the chaotic weather issues currently hitting Queensland’s Brisbane area far North Queensland at the moment; due to continued Cyclone Debbie impact.
In a release sent out today, after a meeting between the band, promotor, venue and authorities, a decision was made to re-schedule the show – that was meant to take place tonight – to Monday, 3 April at The Triffid, with all tickets for that show remaining valid for the re-scheduled show.
On the change of date due to the cyclone, the General Manager of touring, Chris O’Brien noted how their “first concern is the safety of the people,” (sic) and how they are committed to still bringing I Prevail to the fans in a timely fashion.
“I Prevail are committed to their fans in Brisbane and will be performing on Monday 3 April at The Triffid to make up for the missed show. We apologise for any inconvenience, but patron safety has to be our foremost priority.”
