It’s great to see a band that you like a lot achieve something as great as an award for something they have created. In this case, it is Winters End with their track ‘Mayfair’, which took out the Best International Award. That’s prestiges in its own right, and Marissa and Christopher should be so happy about it. The night of nights for Australian Independent music has come and gone for another year, which has previously featured the likes of Australian music heavyweighs, Bluejuice, Bliss N Eso and The Jezabels to Cog, Dallas Frasca and Blue King Brown, the AIMAs past winners are littered with a whose who of today’s current Australian music stars. However, this year’s winners include the likes of Emma Mullings, Esther Sparkes, Mischief, PLGRMS, Horrorwood Maniquins, Demi Louise, Winters End, and many more.

The biggest win of the night went to Emma Mullings who won two big awards in her categories: the prestiges Artist of the Year and the award for Christian & Spiritual music. Mischief won big with Best Pop, Horrorwood Maniquins took out Metal and Hardcore, and friends of this website, Winters End, took out International for their previous track, ‘Mayfair‘!
