The Melbourne Zoo Twilight Concert Series is a long-standing and much-loved event on the Melbourne cultural calendar. Zoo Twilights is a unique summer music season and in its 25-year history has experienced significant change. The event started as a community event for local talent and has now become a curated program with many local and international artists gracing the Twilights stage. The series runs for seven weeks in summer, between January and March, and in 2016 the Zoo Twilights series boasted its most successful year with nine sell-out shows across the 15-show season. All proceeds from the concert series go towards fighting the extinction of the Eastern Barred Bandicoot.
