The 2017 Sugar Mountain festival will be hosting a whole lot of extra festivities besides the music, like Art, sensory, boiler room (for underground music), augmented reality, theatre space (movies!) and more. I am going to go into more detail about each below.

The festival is on from 12:00pm, Sat 21st January, 2017 at the Victorian College of the Arts, VIC.


The line up for the 2017 Sugar Mountain Festival has been announced. It features 17 Australian artists, including Big Scary, MY DISCO, Black Cab, The Belligerents, Methyl Ethel, Sui Zhen, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, Jaala, Jack River, Tornado Wallace, CC:DISCO!, ALTA, KUCKA, Dro Cary, and more; and 14 international artists, featuring Blood Orange, Pantha Du Prince, Jessy Lanza, Little Simz, Suzanne Ciani, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Moses Sumney, Kelsey Lu, Mood II Swing, Beppe Loda, Weyes Blood, Baba Stiltz, Palms, Trax and Kornel Kovas; covering The U.K., U.S.A., Germany, Italy, and Stockholm!


Art is a big thing at 2017’s Sugar Mountain, with artists coming from all around the place; Australia, USA, UK, Canada, and Toyko. You can look forward to seeing the likes of MOMO, Supergroup – Morag Muerscough x Luke Morgan, Robyn Moody x Caroline Polachek, March Studios, Karan Singh, Caleb O’Shea, Elliott Routledge and Miriam Bleau; showcasting their stunning large-scale interactive art.
