While I don’t know a whole lot about Angel Olsen, I really dig her music. I like ‘Shut Up Kiss Me‘ a lot. It’s a great song and I like to play it, a lot. However, Angel olsen’s album ‘My Woman’ is dropping on September 2, but until then, Angel Olsen has released a new track from the album called ‘Sister’.
Sister is about contradiction and how to address conflict within… and then moving beyond it:
“’Sister’ addresses conflict within and then moves beyond it. The song is lyrically contradictory, so we wanted to show those opposing dualities. The contrast between a wide shot and a close-up, the duality between the city and that natural world, joy and melancholy.”
Angel Olsen has also released a bunch of Australian tour dates throughout November and December, covering major cities in Hobart, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.
November 28 | Corner Hotel, Melbourne VIC
December 1 | Lismore City Hall, Lismore NSW
December 2 | Brightside, Brisbane QLD
December 5 | Sydney Opera House Studio, Sydney NSW
December 7 | Grace Emily Hotel, Adelaide SA
December 8 | Badlands, Perth WA
