Morgan Delt has released the third track, ‘Some Sunsick Day’, from his forthcoming second album, ‘Phase Zero’, via Sub Pop & Inertia.

You can listen to the song for yourself below, but before you do, it is worth noting that ‘Some Sunsick Day’ follows from the greatly received tracks “I Don’t Wanna See What’s Happening Inside” and “The System of 1000 Lies”.

Morgan Delt says about the record:

“I was thinking of it as kind of a comedown after the first one. Like if that one was 1967 psychedelic escapism, this one is sort of the return to reality, death of the psychedelic dream, increasing political consciousness of 1968. Musically I was inspired by the Notorious Byrd Brothers album, Buffalo Springfield, and more mellow LA studio psych, along with some of the west coast avant garde electronic music that was happening at that time like Morton Subotnick, Terry Riley, and the San Francisco Tape Music Center.”

‘Phase Zero’ is out August 26 on Sub Pop via Inertia Music. Head on over here to grab your copy now.
